ADVOCACY, POSTER AND CONCEPT PAPER
[ADVOCACY]
CHILDREN EQUALLY DESERVE A PROPER EDUCATION
BACKGROUND:
Due to the insane rate of poverty here in the Philippines, children are heavily affected by this. The chances of being successful in life was taken away from them because of their educational background. Sadly, these children grow up, sometimes not knowing how to read and write.
AIM:
The aim of this advocacy is to give attention to children being deprived in terms of knowledge and help them by teaching them.
OBJECTIVE(S):
We would roam around Cavite to find children who were willing to learn and teach them math, english, science, and mother tongue.
TARGET(S):
The people who are involved in this are the volunteer teachers and the children.
PARTNER(S):
This advocacy will be done in partnership with CHED, DepEd, and TESDA. With the use of social media platforms such as facebook and twitter, more audiences will be interested and possibly volunteer for this project.
Project name: KNOWLEDGE IN A SHED
Introduction
Due to poverty, children couldn’t afford to attend school and learn. Because of this, children end up working at a young age without knowing how to read or write. No educational attainment, means limited opportunities were offered or worse, none at all. The aim of this project is to feed knowledge to children’s (or even adults) minds for free. Because we believe that education is the key to success.
Purpose
The purpose of this project is to make the children learn for free because unfortunately some of them won't be able to learn because of how they couldn’t afford to attend school.
Description
In this project, we will build a shed around Dasmariñas, Cavite. Each shed contains bookcases that include donated books from different schools. It may include text books or story books. The shed may also serve as a shelter for homeless people especially at night.
Support
The estimated budget needed for the project is ranging from 75,000-300,000 pesos including the materials needed for building the shed and the book cases.
